Election (1999)

Plot: Tracy Flick is the most driven student at Carver High, who just happens to be having an affair with one of her teachers. Another teacher—Mr. McAllister—is having an affair with his wife’s best friend. Student Elections are under way, when Mr. McAllister persuades football jock Paul to run against Flick for his own pleasure. Flick, of course, is mortified that Paul is even trying to compete. Tammy, Paul’s lesbian sister who got dumped by her girlfriend to go with Paul, decides that running against her brother is the best revenge. Who will win the election this year?

Is the race card going to work to get Obama elected a 2nd time?
Or will people be so jaded by his performance that they won’t care if they get called a racist for not voting for him? Or will that even be an issue next election (always assuming he runs)?
Oh, it exists, Jared. Usually in the minds of people who see it everywhere. Hence, the people who scream "RACIST!" when you said you weren’t voting for Obama. They couldn’t believe you weren’t voting for him based on his skin color because they WERE.

Secret ballots are an assurance that we can vote without being held up to false accusations and bullying. 0bama will be one and done. The moderates and independents that got him elected will not be fooled by his rhetoric a second time.

I’m sure they’ll throw it out there… Imagine if Glenn Beck said "I forgot that he was black for an hour". But…Obama has 2 years until he goes back into campaign mode again and a lot can happen in that amount of time.

I didn’t care the first time. It becomes clear very quickly that the race card is used by libs as subject changer when they’re losing the argument. I can’t see anyone falling for it again

It didn’t work for him the first time. He wasn’t playing the race card then and never did. That was the racists in the Republican party (GOP) playing it. And they still are and he’s already in office! You’re doing it right NOW!

Well clearly you have made your mind up.
But there are a great many Americans who are actually judging him on his performance (the economy stabilised within a year), not on ignorant partisan hatred.
So no race card involved (that is just the sore losers’ pathetic excuse) – yes he stands a very good chance of reelection.
